Most recently, Strong has been cast as Ashi in the fifth and final season of Samurai Jack, as Princess Unikitty in the TV series Unikitty! (a role originated in The Lego Movie by Alison Brie), and as Miss Minutes in the Marvel Studios television series Loki.

Among her most well-known voice roles include Bubbles in The Powerpuff Girls, Timmy Turner and Poof in Nickelodeon's The Fairly OddParents, Raven in Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!, Melody in The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, Dil Pickles in Rugrats and its spin-off All Grown Up!, the DC Comics character Harley Quinn in various animated and video game adaptations of the Batman franchise, Rikku in Final Fantasy X, X-2, and Kingdom Hearts II and Sari Sumdac, Red Alert, Strika, Slipstream and Teletraan I in Transformers: Animated.

Outside My Little Pony, Strong has done professional work in numerous films and television series, both live-action and animated. Strong has an original character called Taralicious that is featured in the IDW comics. Unlike most of the series' voice cast, who records their lines in Vancouver, Strong records all of her dialogue in her home studio in Los Angeles, with occasional trips to Vancouver to record with the rest of the cast. In addition to auditioning for the role of Twilight Sparkle, Strong had also auditioned as Pinkie Pie and Applejack. Strong was initially cast in the show when series creator Lauren Faust personally approached her about the project in 2010 the two had previously worked together on Cartoon Network's The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
